I'm Mike. I grew up working on farm equipment with my dad. And like most kids who grew up in the in the Central Valley, I have been operating nut harvesting equipment from a young age. I still remember Mr. Lemone (our Jr High principal) calling my parents shortly after I started 6th grade to find out why I was missing so much school. Mr Lemone (a great guy form the LA area) found out that some kids had Nintendos while others had to drive sweepers. Years later In college I remember driving a Ramacher 9600 when harvesting for my brother. One day I was "working against the clock" to beat a September rain storm. I had an exam early the next day for one of my classes and I needed to study that night. I don't remember how I did on the test or what it was even about but I do remember working past midnight and I remember the satisfaction of finishing that field knowing that farmer's crop was off the ground before the ran.
Not much has changed. I can't seem to stay away form tractors. I expect to to work long and hard. Therefore, my long term goal is to find a way to work hard along side my family. If you are going to work long and hard, you better work with those you love. Christina and I have 3 kids. At least two of them love tractors so I think we are off to a great start.
